Sand Nativity 2009
The "Sand Nativity" returns in Jesolo Italy on 6th December 2009 to January 31st 2010 for the eighth consecutive year.
The greatest sculptors of international renown back in our seaside towns to create a new, fascinating and charming "Sand Nativity Story", unique to the city of Jesolo and directed by Rich Varano.
This edition will work the journalist and art critic Philippe Daverio, some famous paintings related to the nativity he has proposed will be used by sculptors such as artistic subjects in the "sand nativity".
Also this year the exhibition will be enriched by a sculpture dedicated to the bearers of peace, persons who have distinguished themselves worldwide for spreading peace among peoples.
After the performances of Pope John Paul II, Mahatma Gandhi and Mother Teresa of Calcutta, the work of 8th edition will be dedicated to Pope John XXIII, the Pope's good.
All offers of the visitors are given to charity. "Sand Nativity" support, thanks to offers of visitors, some charity projects including the completion of a primary school in Kinshasa in Congo Cavanis Institute - School of Charity congregation.
